A week-long training brings together government representatives from 13 RIS countries with experts working in the field of agri-food innovations from industry, academia and European institutions.
The Academy is a programme that offers insights into challenges related to food system innovations and regulations. It is also an opportunity to exchange best practices that will contribute to further improvements of Research & Innovation Smart Specialisation Strategies that will inspire the future development of operational programs based on the EU Structural and Investment Funds.

EIT Food Innovation Grants
EIT Food will award two Innovation Grants worth €10 000 and €5 000 to Czech start-ups.
Phase 1
Interested candidates must submit their application via online platform www.f6s.com/innovationgrants. It is a completely open call.
The online application will include questions designed to verify the business model credibility, the understanding of the problem which is addressed, and the quality of the business solution. Equally, in the online application, candidates will be asked how they will spend the RIS Innovation Grant and how the grant will help transform the agri-food sector with their business, particularly in their local country.
- Deadline for submission of applications: 30 September 2018
- Application review: 1 -14 October 2018
Phase 2
EIT Food Demo Days: 10 startups with the highest scores will be invited to pitch at the EIT Food Demo Days. Please make sure that you are able to attend the Demo Day!

Massive Open Online Courses
EIT Food has developed a series of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that are availabe free of charge (except if you would like to receive a certificate) via FutureLearn.
All courses are being facilitated by educators with a specialist knowledge on the course subject.
